Overview

This website is operated by Terra Decode, an independent botanical jewellery studio based across Yunnan and Sichuan, China. These Terms govern access to our website and purchases from Terra Decode. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy, Shipping & Delivery, Returns & Exchanges and Jewellery Care policies.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

Handmade products and natural materials

Terra Decode pieces are individually handmade using preserved real flowers, plants, resin, pearls, shells, metal components and other natural or handcrafted materials. Natural and handmade variation in colour, shape, size, transparency, botanical placement, texture, asymmetry, small bubbles and finish is expected and is not a defect.

Images and descriptions are provided as accurately as reasonably possible. Colours may appear differently across screens, and the exact natural materials used in an individual piece may differ slightly from photographs.

Orders and payment

An order is not accepted until payment is authorised and an order confirmation is issued. Customers are responsible for reviewing the product, personalisation, quantity, address and contact details before submitting an order.

Prices are displayed in USD unless another currency is shown. We may correct obvious pricing, description or availability errors and may decline or cancel an order because of suspected fraud, payment failure, material unavailability, shipping restrictions or another reasonable operational or legal reason. If Terra Decode cancels an order after payment, the amount collected for the cancelled item will be returned to the original payment method.

Processing, shipping and tracking

Most orders are prepared within 3 business days. Orders may ship from Yunnan or Sichuan and pass through export or customs facilities elsewhere in China. All dispatched orders include tracking. Delivery windows are estimates and are governed by our Shipping & Delivery policy.

Free standard shipping is available on eligible orders with a discounted merchandise subtotal of US$100 or more, calculated after discounts and before taxes, subject to the shipping method displayed at checkout.

Final sale and order changes

Because our products are handmade, small-batch and frequently made or finished for an individual order, purchases are generally final sale. Returns, refunds, exchanges, cancellations and changes are governed by our Returns & Exchanges policy and mandatory applicable law.

Requests to change or cancel an order must be made immediately. We cannot guarantee changes after making, preparation, packing or dispatch has begun.

Delivery information and customs

The customer is responsible for accurate delivery details. Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, destination duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage and customs fees are the customer's responsibility.

Terra Decode is not responsible for delay, failed delivery, abandonment or destruction caused by an incorrect address, unpaid customs charges, refusal, failure to collect the parcel or another matter within the customer's control. Reshipping and related costs are the customer's responsibility where permitted by law.

Carrier responsibility

International and local carriers are independent service providers. Terra Decode does not control customs clearance, transport schedules, scanning or final delivery. Ordinary carrier or customs delays while a parcel remains in transit do not create an automatic right to cancellation, refund or replacement, except where required by law.

Inspection and claims

Customers must inspect an order promptly. Damage, defect or incorrect-item claims must be reported within 24 hours of the carrier marking the parcel delivered, with the order number and clear photographic or video evidence of the item, packaging and shipping label. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

Product care and use

Botanical jewellery is delicate and must be handled and stored in accordance with our Jewellery Care guidance. Damage caused by impact, bending, water, perfume, alcohol, chemicals, heat, sunlight, improper storage, incorrect cleaning, normal wear or unauthorised repair is not a manufacturing defect.

Our products are jewellery and decorative accessories, not toys. Keep them away from small children and pets. Do not purchase or wear an item if you have an allergy or sensitivity to its listed materials.

Website use

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security, introduce malicious code, scrape or copy content without permission, use the website for unlawful activity or provide false information.

Intellectual property

All Terra Decode names, branding, product designs, photographs, video, artwork, illustrations, text, graphics and website content are owned by Terra Decode or used with permission. They may not be copied, reproduced, adapted, sold, distributed or used commercially without prior written consent.

Third-party services

Our store is hosted by Shopify and may use third-party payment, analytics, shipping, social-media and other services. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy practices. Terra Decode is not responsible for third-party websites or operations that it does not control.

Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Terra Decode is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the website or products, ordinary carrier delays, customs action, misuse, improper care or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page applies from its stated update date, subject to mandatory rights connected with an earlier purchase.
