About this piece
Real Boston ivy leaves are preserved in clear resin and followed with a gold-toned alloy metal edge that emphasises their natural three-leaf outline. The pendant connects to an asymmetric necklace structure, combining an imitation-pearl half-chain with fine gold-toned links. A single imitation-pearl drop extends below the leaf cluster, clearly separated from the pearl section above. The contrast between collected foliage, luminous imitation pearls and hand-finished edging gives the piece its distinctive structure while allowing veins, colour changes and irregular margins to remain visible in every specimen.
Botanical note
Boston ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata). Boston ivy is a woody climbing plant known for its strongly veined foliage and seasonal colour variation. Botanical identification has been confirmed by Terra Decode through repeated specimen review.

Terra Decode is an independent botanical jewellery studio based across Yunnan and Sichuan, China. Orders may be prepared and dispatched from either location before moving through an export-processing or customs hub elsewhere in China for international delivery.
Processing time
Most orders are handmade, prepared and packed within 3 business days after payment is confirmed. Processing time is separate from shipping time. Certain made-to-order, customised or limited botanical pieces may require additional time; where applicable, the product page or order communication will take priority.
Business days exclude weekends and public holidays. Processing may take longer during launches, peak seasons, public holidays or periods of unusually high order volume.
Free standard shipping
We offer free standard shipping on eligible orders with a discounted merchandise subtotal of US$100 or more, calculated after discounts and before taxes. Duties, gift cards and other non-merchandise charges do not count towards the threshold. The shipping method and charge displayed at checkout will control if there is a discrepancy.
Shipping methods
Orders are generally dispatched from China through YunExpress, Take Send or another suitable international logistics partner. After arrival in the destination country, delivery is completed by a local carrier. Depending on the destination, this may include USPS, Royal Mail, Evri, DHL or another local postal or courier service.
We do not normally offer paid express or expedited delivery.
Estimated delivery time
Most international orders arrive approximately 10–20 business days from the date the order is placed. Certain destinations, remote areas or parcels affected by customs may take up to 30 business days.
| Destination | Processing | Shipping | Total estimated delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | 3 business days | 7–15 business days | 10–18 business days |
| United Kingdom | 3 business days | 7–15 business days | 10–18 business days |
| Australia & New Zealand | 3 business days | 7–15 business days | 10–18 business days |
| Canada | 3 business days | 8–18 business days | 11–21 business days |
| Germany, France, Spain & most European countries | 3 business days | 8–20 business days | 11–23 business days |
| Italy, remote areas & other international destinations | 3 business days | 10–25 business days | 13–28 business days |
These timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed. Customs inspections, flight capacity, severe weather, strikes, peak-season volumes, local holidays and delays caused by independent carriers may extend delivery.
Tracking
All dispatched orders include tracking. When your order is fulfilled, tracking information will be sent to the email address used at checkout and will normally also appear on your Shopify order-status page or in the Shop app.
A shipment may receive an international tracking number and a separate local last-mile number. We will normally provide the primary number that can follow the parcel from China through final delivery. Tracking can take several business days to update while the parcel moves between export facilities, customs and local carriers.
Carrier and customs delays
Once a parcel enters the carrier network, transport, customs clearance, scanning and final delivery are performed by independent postal and logistics providers. Terra Decode cannot control these operations. A parcel that remains in transit within the carrier's investigation period is not considered lost, and ordinary carrier or customs delays are not grounds for cancellation or refund, except where required by applicable law.
Address accuracy
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate recipient name, address, postal code, telephone number and email address. Contact us immediately if any information is incorrect. We cannot guarantee changes after processing or dispatch has begun.
If a parcel is delayed, misdelivered, undeliverable, abandoned or destroyed because the customer supplied an incorrect or incomplete address, no refund or free replacement will be provided except where required by law. If reshipment is possible, the customer must pay the actual reshipping, rerouting, return, customs and handling costs.
Customs, duties and taxes
Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, import duties, VAT, taxes, brokerage, customs-clearance and handling fees imposed by the destination country are the customer's responsibility. Refusing or failing to pay these charges does not qualify an order for a refund.
Refused, unclaimed and undeliverable parcels
International parcels are not always returned to us. A parcel may be held, abandoned or destroyed by the carrier or customs authority. If a parcel is refused, unclaimed or undeliverable because duties were unpaid, delivery was not arranged or customer-provided information was incorrect, a refund or replacement may not be available. Where reshipment is possible, all associated costs are the customer's responsibility.
Marked delivered but not received
If tracking shows delivered but you cannot locate the parcel, check the delivery address, safe places, household members, neighbours and building reception, then contact the local carrier directly using the tracking number. Terra Decode can provide available shipment information but cannot control the local carrier's delivery investigation. A delivered scan does not automatically qualify an order for a refund or replacement, except where required by law.
Lost parcels
If tracking has not updated for an unusually long period, contact TerraDecode@Outlook.com with your order number. We may need to wait until the carrier's investigation window has passed. If the carrier formally confirms that the parcel is lost, Terra Decode will review the case and may offer a replacement or another appropriate resolution, subject to availability and applicable law.
Damaged parcels
If an order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 24 hours of the carrier marking it delivered. Include the order number and clear photographs or video of the outer parcel, shipping label, internal packaging, item and damage. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. Claims submitted after 24 hours or without sufficient evidence may not be eligible for assistance, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Materials & process
Materials & process
Made by hand with real preserved flowers. Natural variations make every piece quietly unique.
Terra Decode creates botanical jewellery from real flowers, plants and carefully selected complementary materials. Each piece records the natural differences of the botanical element rather than reproducing a perfectly identical factory-made result.
Studio
Our studio practice is based across Yunnan and Sichuan, China—two regions known for botanical richness and diverse floral landscapes. Pieces may be prepared, assembled, finished and dispatched through our small studio and artisan network in either location.
Natural botanicals
Flowers and plants are selected for their individual form, colour and texture. Natural marks, variation, asymmetry and seasonal differences are retained as part of the design. No two petals or finished pieces will be exactly the same.
Preservation
Botanicals are carefully dried or preserved before being arranged by hand. The process is intentionally slow and may vary according to the flower, humidity, colour and structure of the plant.
Resin and composition
Where resin is used, each botanical element is positioned and encapsulated by hand. Small bubbles, subtle texture, variations in transparency and differences in botanical placement can occur. These are characteristics of handmade resin work and are not normally defects.
Metal, pearls and natural elements
Depending on the design, pieces may include plated metal, sterling silver, gold-filled or other findings, freshwater pearls, shells and natural stones. Always refer to the individual product description for the materials used in a particular piece.
Small-batch production
Terra Decode works in small quantities. Material availability, flower season and the individuality of preserved plants mean some designs may be limited or impossible to reproduce exactly.
Handmade variation
Product images provide a close representation of the design. Your piece may vary slightly in botanical shape, shade, scale and arrangement. These differences are what make each Terra Decode piece individual.
Care and longevity
Botanical jewellery remains delicate and may gradually change with time, light and wear. Follow our Jewellery Care guidance to protect your piece from water, chemicals, impact, heat and prolonged sunlight.
Jewellery care
Jewellery care
Keep away from water, perfume, direct heat and prolonged sunlight. Store gently when not being worn.
Terra Decode jewellery preserves real flowers and plants in delicate handmade designs. Natural botanicals and resin can change gradually with time, light and wear. Thoughtful care will help protect your piece.
Keep it dry
Remove jewellery before showering, bathing, swimming, exercising, washing hands or sleeping. Do not soak pieces or expose them to repeated humidity.
Avoid chemicals
Apply perfume, hairspray, lotion, sunscreen, alcohol-based products and cosmetics before putting on your jewellery. Allow products to dry fully and avoid direct contact with resin, botanicals and metal components.
Protect from heat and sunlight
Store away from prolonged direct sunlight, heaters, hot vehicles and extreme temperatures. Natural flowers and resin may gradually change colour or clarity when exposed to UV light and heat.
Handle gently
Do not bend, twist, drop or place heavy objects on the jewellery. Hold a piece by its metal setting or chain where possible rather than pulling the preserved botanical element.
Cleaning
Wipe gently with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive cloths, jewellery dips, solvents, alcohol or chemical cleaning products unless a product listing specifically confirms they are suitable.
Storage
Store each piece separately in a dry jewellery box or soft pouch to reduce scratching, tangling and pressure. Keep necklaces fastened and laid flat where possible. Avoid storing in bathrooms or other humid areas.
Natural ageing
Real flowers, resin, pearls, shells and plated metals may develop subtle changes over time. This natural ageing is part of the character of botanical jewellery and is not normally considered a defect.
Repairs
If a piece is accidentally damaged, contact TerraDecode@Outlook.com with photographs. Repair availability and cost depend on the design, materials and damage. Because flowers are unique, an exact botanical match cannot be guaranteed.
